Mercedes-Benz REFORM 501 LE
Suburban-local model

“Commercial Vehicle of the Year 2019”
Exactly one year after the launch of the very first model in the Mercedes-Benz REFORM bus range, we introduced our second model, the REFORM 501 LE suburban/urban bus (M3/II class).
The new model is a vehicle built on a Mercedes-Benz OC 500LE 1830 self-propelled chassis, equipped with a state-of-the-art diesel engine and a 6+1-speed automatic transmission. The low-floor, extended wheelbase two-door model has a length of 12 490 mm and a seating capacity of 85 (45 seated and 40 standing). The technical chassis design features the vehicle safety and driving stability systems familiar from Mercedes-Benz buses and coaches, as well as our own remote on-board diagnostic and control devices, which provide operational and functional data for remote monitoring of the vehicle. For longer journeys, the seating layout is 2+2 rows throughout, with thinned seat backs for improved legroom.
The Mercedes-Benz REFORM 501 LE’s clean, relaxed design, the sophisticated development of the passenger compartment and the high technical solutions all contributed to Inter Traction Electrics Ltd. winning one of the most important awards in the Hungarian commercial vehicle market in 2019. In the Camion Truck & Bus magazine’s “Commercial Vehicle of the Year” competition, the Mercedes-Benz Reform 501 LE was declared the winner in the urban/suburban bus category, based on reader votes
